1980年生まれ.超音波技術の専門家.2003年東京大学工学部計数工学科卒.2005年同大大学院修士課程了.2008年同大大学院博士課程了.博士(情報理工学).日本学術振興会特別研究員DC2/PD,熊本大学助教,名古屋工業大学特任教員(テニュア・トラック助教),東京大学助教を経て,2017年ピクシーダストテクノロジーズ株式会社CTO就任,現在に至る.2008年に世界初の超音波による空中非接触触覚提示装置の開発に従事.その後,強力超音波の応用開拓に興味を持つ.オープンイノベーションを促進するため,農業,工業,医療,計測,HCI,メディアアートなど分野を超えた共同研究を幅広く展開.共同研究先としては東京大学,京都大学,慶應義塾大学,筑波大学,宇都宮大学,日本医科大学,一関工業高等専門学校,産業技術総合研究所,株式会社新川,など.成果物はArs Electronica Festival,SIGGRAPH Emerging Technologies,文化庁メディア芸術祭などで実演展示された.SICE Annual Conference International Award(2007),超音波シンポジウム奨励賞(2013),文部科学省NISTEP科学技術への顕著な貢献(2014),名古屋工業大学職員褒賞(2015),ほか受賞多数.

Takayuki Hoshi

Takayuki Hoshi was born in 1980. He is an expert researcher of ultrasonics. BE, ME, and PhD (Information Science and Technology) degrees from the University of Tokyo (Japan), in 2003, 2005, and 2008, respectively. Research fellow of JSPS from April 2007 to March 2009. Assistant professor at Kumamoto University (Japan) for 2 years, at Nagoya Institute of Technology (Japan) for 5 years, and at The University of Tokyo (Japan) for 1.5 years. Currently, he is CTO of Pixie Dust Technologies, Inc. He contributed to development of a world-first ultrasound-based noncontact tactile display in 2008. He is interested in open innovation of high-intensity airborne ultrasound. He is actively conducting collaboration researches with researchers in other research fields, such as agriculture, industry, medical treatment, measurement, HCI, and media arts. These researchers are working in the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Keio University, Tsukuba University, Utsunomiya University, Nippon Medical School, National Institute of Technology Ichinoseki College, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, and Shinkawa Ltd. The research products were displayed in various exhibitions such as Ars Electronica Festival, SIGGRAPH Emerging Technologies, and Japan Media Arts Festival. He won Annual Conference International Award at SICE 2007 and Young Scientist Award at Symposium on Ultrasonic Electronics 2013. He was selected as one of the best scientists who made notable contribution by MEXT NISTEP in 2014. He was rewarded for his research activity by NITech in 2015.
