Pixie Dust Technologies, Inc. ("PxDT"), (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Directors: Yoichi Ochiai and Taiichiro Murakami) announced that its D&I* and multilingual communication support tool, VUEVO, has been featured in the "TOKYO MICE Technology Guidelines" provided by the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Overview

As competition for attracting international MICE* events intensifies, it is crucial for Tokyo to respond to the promotion of MICE technologies in anticipation of changes in MICE event formats in the post-COVID era to win against other overseas cities and attract MICE events.

The Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau has formulated the "TOKYO MICE Technology Guidelines," which outlines the utilization of cutting-edge technologies for MICE organizers. We are pleased to announce that PxDT's "VUEVO, a communication support tool for realizing D&I in next-generation MICE," has been included in these guidelines. By utilizing VUEVO's technology in MICE events, we expect to achieve unprecedented simultaneous multilingual communication and support communication between people with hearing impairments and those without.

The "TOKYO MICE Technology Guidelines" and the next-generation MICE event funding assistance available for the technologies listed in the guidelines are described here.

*D&I refers to Diversity & Inclusion.

*MICE is an acronym that stands for M: Meeting (corporate meetings), I: Incentive (corporate incentive/training trips), C: Convention (international conferences), and E: Exhibition/Event (exhibitions, events, etc.).

This technology is based on research findings in the display of subtitles from the Digital Nature Group at the University of Tsukuba (Representative: Associate Professor Yoichi Ochiai).
