Speaker information
Yoichi Ochiai is the CEO of Pixie Dust Technologies, Inc. and holds a position of Associate Professor at the University of Tsukuba. Born in Tokyo in 1987, he achieved the first early completion of the Interdisciplinary Informatics School’s doctoral course and degree at the University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Informatics. As the Representative Director of Pixie Dust Technologies, he also serves as the Director of the Center for Digital Nature Development Research at the University of Tsukuba, in addition to his roles as an Associate Professor and Research Representative of JST CREST xDiversity Project. He specializes in exploring application areas using HCI and intelligence technology. In 2009, he was selected as an IPA unexplored youth business and is an IPA certified super creator. He is a director of the general incorporated association Mito. His achievements have garnered many awards, including the World Technology Award 2015 and the MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 Japan 2020.
