 Key Points of This Release
 1. The "VUEVO transparent subtitle display" will be permanently installed at "Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower" for the first time. Tokyo Midtown Yaesu and Nihonbashi Muromachi Mitsui Tower will follow.
 2. The "VUEVO Transparent Subtitle Display" uses a proprietary wireless microphone application to provide highly accurate real-time subtitle display and multilingual translation functions. It supports accurate two-way communication between facility users and staff, and contributes to providing barrier-free information services for the hearing impaired and foreign language speakers.
 3. In order to promote D&I and create an inclusive society, we are actively considering further utilization of this system in future facility operations in order to create a "town people want to visit" where everyone can feel safe and comfortable, regardless of whether they have a disability or speak a different language.

From April 2024, the Act on the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities will make it mandatory to "provide reasonable accommodation," requiring employers to take proactive measures. In addition, with the recovery of inbound demand, multilingual support is becoming even more necessary.
With the aim of promoting D&I and realizing an inclusive society, the installation of this sign is an attempt to create a "town people want to visit" where everyone can feel safe and comfortable, regardless of whether they have a disability or speak a different language.
By introducing the "VUEVO Transparent Subtitle Display," which utilizes PxDT's automatic speech recognition and translation technologies to display subtitles in real time, it will be possible for information staff to communicate smoothly with the hearing impaired and foreign language speakers. So far, demonstration experiments using the "VUEVO Subtitle Transparent Display" have been conducted twice at Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower in December 2022 and June 2023 and not only people with hearing impairments but also foreigners visiting Japan being pleased to be able to converse in their native language. The company plans to install the technology in Tokyo Midtown Yaesu and Nihonbashi Muromachi Mitsui Tower in the near future, and will continue to install the technology in other facilities in the future. The company will verify the social acceptability and effectiveness of this technology, and will actively consider further use of the technology in facility operations in the future.

About VUEVO Transparent Subtitle Display

The "VUEVO Subtitle Transparent Display" combines the technology cultivated through PxDT's "VUEVO" service, which uses wireless microphones and a dedicated application developed in-house, with multilingual translation functionality and a transparent display, allowing subtitles for conversations to be displayed in real time on both sides of the transparent display. Subtitles are displayed on both sides of the transparent display, facilitating face-to-face communication.
It supports real-time subtitles and multilingual translation in approximately 100 languages, and can be operated seamlessly from a dedicated application in both situations, whether you are talking to the hearing impaired or hard of hearing, or in a foreign language. With the "VUEVO Transparent Subtitle Display," PxDT aims to create a world without communication barriers due to disabilities or language differences.
