Point of presentation

Pixie Dust Technologies Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Representative Director Yoichi Ochiai, Taiichiro Murakami, hereinafter referred to as "PxDT") will use PxDT's university-based cutting-edge technology to create a digitally diverse city. We will conduct a demonstration experiment of "subtitle transparent display" that uses automatic speech recognition technology and translation technology to display subtitles in real time at TOWNGATE CORE TOKYO "To SEEN" in the south observation room of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

Objective

VUEVO is a service that uses a wireless microphone developed by PxDT and a dedicated application to display the spoken content in easy-to-understand subtitles. The subtitle transparent display combines "VUEVO, multilingual translation function, and transparent display", and since the conversation can be displayed with two-way subtitles in real time, face-to-face conversation and communication can be performed smoothly. In response to the increasing number of inbound tourists, as a joint demonstration experiment with NOMURA MEDIAS Co., Ltd. We will verify the social acceptability and effectiveness of this technology at TOWNGATE CORE TOKYO, a light food and beverage store in the south observation room of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, which is operated by NOMURA MEDIAS Co., Ltd., allowing us to explore the possibility of using it for future facility management.

The subtitle transparency display is an application of the research results on subtitle display by the University of Tsukuba Digital Nature Group* (Representative: Yoichi Ochiai, Associate Professor).

* PxDT and the University of Tsukuba began a special joint research agreement in December 2017, and established the "Digital Nature Group powered by Pixie Dust Technologies" within the University of Tsukuba. We are working on continuous social implementation of joint research and research results.
